St. Luke Parish has closed

By decree of Bishop Earl Boyea, on Sunday, August 3, 2008 St. Luke Parish, Flint was closed . The parishes of Sacred Heart, St. Agnes, St. John Vianney and St. Luke have been merged into one new parish, with the place of worship for the unified parish community being St. John Vianney Church.

All Sacramental Records of St. Luke Parish - with the exception of the most recent Baptismal Register beginning March 11, 1973 - have been transferred to the Archives of the Diocese of Lansing. To obtain sacramental records dated prior to 3/11/73, contact the diocesan archives at 517-485-9902 or fax to 517-484-8880. Baptismal records dated after 3/11/73 have been transferred to St. John Vianney Parish. For those records call the parish office at 810-235-1812 or fax to 810-235-4911.

Outreach efforts provided at the St. Luke site will continue. Information regarding the food pantry, literacy program and the street ministry can be obtained by calling St. John Vianney at 810-235-1812.
